Lighting and Energy Saving

The lighting systems manufactured by Tecnoelettrica, in accordance with Directive 2000/55/EC, are primarily designed to reduce energy consumption.

The energy required for artificial lighting is estimated to be approximately 15% of the world’s electricity consumption. Energy production is the source of CO2 in the atmosphere, which causes pollution and the greenhouse effect. The use of LED lighting systems would lead to annual savings of several billion kWh and a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. The economic savings would be considerable thanks to the lower energy consumption of these systems, with the same lumen output.
